Valentine's Day

We had a pancake and PJ's Valentine's Day party.  We had Valentine rotations in the morning and a nice, relaxing Valentine's Day Party in the afternoon.  My students loved wearing their PJ's and eating pancakes.

100th Day of School

Our HUNDREDth DAY of SCHOOL celebration was alot of fun.  We counted out 10 of 10 foods and had a special 100 treat snack.  We also brought in gifts for our friends.  Kids were assigned a friends' name and they brought them 100 items.  We made a few 100s day crafts and used this site to count to 100.

Flower Shop

Our drama station this month is a flower shop.  The students arrange the flowers and sell them to their friends.  We have a cash register to start working with money.

Math Workstations!

Our class started math workstations in the afternoon in January.  The students in my class love the math workstations and look forward to them throughout the day.  I have stations practicing shapes, numbers, problem solving, adding, counting, patterns, and puzzles. Here are a few examples.

Great Readers!

We are becoming GREAT readers.  Here are a few of our great readers!!

Construction Theme

For the past few weeks, we have been learning about construction workers, building things and important tools. Our construction theme has been worked into reading, writing, math and our discovery time activities.  The students have had a great time being construction workers.  Mr. Risner built a book shelf that we painted to house our math work stations.  We also made our own tool belts.  Here are a few pictures from the theme.
